Hans (J.P.) Vollaard is a lecturer of Dutch and European Politics at the Institute of Political Science since 2007. Previously he studied Political Science and was a PhD candidate at the same institute. His PhD research project explored the significance of territoriality in the European Union.
His current fields of interests are Christian parties, local democracy, and consensus politics within in the Netherlands. With respect to European politics, his focus is on Dutch Euroscepticism, European disintegration, and cross-border healthcare. He takes part in an international research project on the European regulation of cross-border healthcare.
