Guus Heerma van Voss (1957) is professor of labour law at the Leiden University since 1997.
Guus Heerma van Voss (1957) is professor of labour law at the Leiden University since 1997. Heerma van Voss studied Dutch law and obtained his PhD at the University of Utrecht. He has worked as council-advisor at the Directorate Legislation of the Ministry of Justice. Heerma van Voss has lectured at the universities of Tilburg and Maastricht, with the latter he was also affiliated as consultant and as professor of European Labour Law.
Additionally, Heerma van Voss is since April 2012 states council with the Dutch Council of State. Furthermore, he holds positions as substitute justice at the Appeal Court of The Hague, substitute member of the Advisory and Arbitration Commission for employment relations of civil servants, and is co-founder of the European Labour Law Network, editor of the European Labour Law Journal, annotator for Nederlandse Jurisprudentie, and editor of Deel 7-V* of the handbook on the employment contract in the Asser-series (leading book series on Netherlands’civil law).
