Gastrointestinal disorders

My main interest is in gastrointestinal disorders like celiac disease, Crohn and ulcerative colitis. Here we make use of a recent technological innovation, mass cytometry, by which we can unravel the role of the immune system in these disorders. We expect that this will ultimately lead to improved diagnosis and tailored patient-specific therapies.
