Title research: A European Ministry of Finances? Charting and Testing the Legal Limits to European Fiscal Integration.
Frederik Behre is researching in the field of European fiscal integration in connection with EU law as well as national constitutional law. In particular, his research focuses on the legal feasibility of any form of fiscal integration as a potential solution to the prevailing Eurocrisis. The working title of his PhD-research is: ‘A European Ministry of Finances? Charting and Testing the Legal Limits to European Fiscal Integration’
He accomplished his LL.B. in IP and IT law at the University of Hanover (Germany) and undertook an annual exchange to the University of Lapland (Finland). In 2016 Frederik obtained his LL.M. in European Law from the University of Leiden. Equally, he completed the Talent Programme of Leiden Law School. During his studies, Frederik undertook inter alia an internship at the German Embassy in Paris.
Next to his research field, Frederik is interested in EU institutional law, the protection of fundamental rights, as well as the European internal market.
