Filiz Doğan is a Ph.D. researcher at Leiden University in the Department of Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs. Her doctoral work focuses on EU Common Security and Defence Policy and its challenges regarding the 2011 Libya Crisis and 2014 Ukraine Conflict, supervised by Madeleine Hosli and Beatrix Futak Campbell. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations and a master’s degree in EU Politics and International Relations from Marmara University, Turkey. Her main research interests include EU Foreign and Security Policy, British and German Defence Policies, Security Studies, and International Relations Theories. She is also a communications officer in University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES).
