External PhD candidate
Since 2016, Erik Plas is associated to the Institute for Private Law as an external PhD candidate. Title research: The theory and practice of material amendments to public contracts and their influence on Dutch contract law.
Since 2016, Erik Plas is associated to the Institute for Private Law as an external PhD candidate. Erik holds master degrees in French language and culture from Utrecht University (2010), as well as international and European law from Radboud University Nijmegen (2014). He works as an attorney at law at Infense advocaten, a boutique law firm specialized in civil construction law, public procurement law and project development. Erik is especially interested in public procurement law, contract law and civil construction law, and how these areas of law interact. He publishes and teaches about these topics on a regularly basis. His PhD research concerning material amendments lies at the crossroads of public procurement law and contract law.
