Dov Jacobs has been a staff member of the Grotius Centre since September 2011 as an Assistant Professor.
Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam, a PhD Researcher at the European University Institute in Florence and a lecturer in Public International Law at the University Roma Tre. He holds degrees in Law from King's College in London, Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and Paris II Panthéon Assas and a degree in Political Science from Sciences Po, Paris. He is currently a member of the editorial board of the Leiden Journal of International Law and the senior editor of international law of the European Journal of Legal Studies.
Dov Jacobs regularly comments on international law issues on his blog, Spreading the Jam. He has published extensively in the field of international law and international criminal law. His current research interests cover international criminal law, public international law (particularly State Responsibility) and legal theory. He currently holds a position as Legal Assistant on a Defence Team at the ICC.
