Di Dong received her master’s degree in 2017 at China University of Geosciences. Her research mainly focused on copper flow on national and global level. She joined Institute of Environmental Sciences in September 2017 to pursue her doctoral degree.

Research topic

The primary aim of her CSC-funded PhD-project is to use material flow analysis and life cycle theory as the basis to explain the copper flow. Her PhD-topic is ‘Research on the sustainable development of copper and 3E (energy, economy and environmental ) system—Based on material flow analysis and life cycle theory’. The aim of this research is to analyze the copper demand, supply, recycling and related energy consumption of China using the material ananlysis and life cycle theory. The industries of carbon emission will also be studied in the research. It will help to find the mechanism of system and give policy advises for managment.
