Daphne van Kleef
Daphne van Kleef is a post-doc at the Institute of Political Science, Leiden University where she started in June 2016. She is part of the ORA-project Quantification, Administrative Capacity, and Democracy. This project focuses on the consequences of quantification of governance in the delivery of public policy in hospitals, prisons, and universities in different European countries (United Kingdom, Germany, France, and The Netherlands).
Before joining the Political Science Institute, Daphne was a PhD-student at the Institute of Public Administration at Leiden University. She was a member of the research project Double Bind: Public service professionals coping with contrasting demands in which she studied how the process of organisational socialisation influences the professional perceptions of public service professionals.
Daphne obtained a master degree at Utrecht University (Research Master Organizational Science And Public Administration) and a bachelor degree in Public Administration at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, were she was involved in several research projects, among others, about team learning and (effects of) diversity.
