Dominique Lippelt is a PhD student at the Cognitive Psychology Unit, Leiden University (The Netherlands) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Hommel. Framed by Bernhard Hommel’s Theory of Event Coding he is interested in the way that people represent themselves, and in associated processes such as self-other distinction, mentalization (Theory of Mind), and self-embodiment/disembodiment. Specifically he is currently researching how these processes can affect the transfer of features (e.g. emotional or cognitive states) between people through interpersonal observation.
