Research

It focuses on the role of the English language in the industrial history i.e. the pace of industrialisation in the Netherlands in the 19th and early 20th century, both in the Dutch industrial world as well as in schools for professional education. Furthermore, I am interested in discovering teaching methods, text books and dictionaries of technical and maritime English used at schools for professional education - both then and now.
