Annemieke van den Bijllaardt
Annemieke works as an instructional designer at the Online Learning Lab (Centre for Innovation The Hague). Instructional design is the analysis of learning needs and the systematic development of instruction: defining learning goals, content and exams. She makes things simple and easy to learn. For example, by asking do we use text or video to explain our message? Do we use visualisations to support the message, and if we do, how should we design these visualisations? Annemieke advises the Online Learning Lab on the design of online courses (MOOC or SPOCs) and forms of blended learning, such as flipped-the-classroom courses. Besides her work as an instructional designer, she is also project coordinator of several MOOCs.
Annemieke has earned her Master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the Utrecht University and started working as an instructional designer and project leader at a company that designs e-learning courses for healthcare organisations, such as (academic) hospitals.
