Anne Rasmussen is an Associate Professor at Leiden University. Before joining Leiden University in 2008, she was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence from 2006 to 2008. She has also been a Senior Honorary Research Fellow at University College London, Visiting Scholar at George Washington University, and a Centennial Fellow at the American Political Science Association in Washington, D.C.

Current research

Her current research analyzes decision-making, political parties, interest representation and political responsiveness in the European Union and its member states. Furthermore, she has a strong interest in research design and methodology as well as in the US political system.

Teaching

She has taught courses on research design, qualitative and quantitative methods, EU institutions and policy-making, interest representation, micro economics, the economics of the European Union, comparative politics, and parliamentary studies.She is a co-convenor of the European Legislative Politics Research Group (ELPRG) and has previously received research grants from organizations such as the European Commission, the European Consortium for Political Research, the British Council, the European Science Foundation and the Danish and Dutch Research Councils.
