Amir Ali Abadi has been working at the Faculty of Law since September 2014. First at the E.M. Meijers Institute and since March 2017 at the Institute for Private Law. He is currently the coordinator of the Masters in Civil Law after two years as academic coordinator in the Advanced Masters in International Civil and Commercial Law (ICCL).

Amir Ali Abadi has been working at the Faculty of Law since September 2014. First at the E.M. Meijers Institute and since March 2017 at the Institute for Private Law. He is currently the coordinator of the Masters in Civil Law after two years as academic coordinator in the Advanced Masters in International Civil and Commercial Law (ICCL).

Amir Ali Abadi studied Political Science (BSc.) at VU University Amsterdam and Public Administration (MSc.) at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He also participated in the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus (LDE) specialization in Governance of Migration and Diversity. He worked as a counselor at the District Court of The Hague and moved to the law faculty in September 2014 where he worked for two years at the E.M. Meijers Institute / Graduate School. After another project at the District Court in The Hague, Amir returned to the law faculty at the Institute for Private Law in March 2017. Initially mainly involved in the Advanced Masters in International Civil and Commercial Law (ICCL), but currently as coordinator of the regular Masters in Civil Law.

Amir is also an active member of the Diversity Policy Sounding Board Group (KBGD) of the university and co-chair of the Leiden University Diversity and Equality Network (LUDEN).
