Abdul-Nasir Abubakar is a PhD researcher with the Institute of Political Science.
Abdul-Nasir is a PhD researcher with the Institute of Political Science. His current research centres on politics of the bureaucracy in neo-patrimonial settings, particularly focusing on types of appointment and their implications on attitudes and behaviour in Ghana. His research interests include Patronage Politics, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Social Policy and Development as well as Climate Change and Sustainable Development within Ghana, Sub-Saharan Africa or the West African Sub-Region.
Abdul-Nasir holds a Higher Diploma in Industrial Relations from the Assoc. of Business Executives, London, an MSc in Social Policy and Development from London School of Economics & Political Science and a B.A in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon. Currently, he is the Head of Department, Human Resources, FSD, of the Forestry Commission of Ghana (2016-to-date).
