Professional Experience
Juan Wu received her bachelor’s degree (2014) in Environmental Science at Yanan University. She received her Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from South China Normal University in 2017. Research mainly focused on The effects of biochar-supported Ni/Fe particles on removal mechanism and bio-availability of PBDEs in contaminated soil and its Phytotoxicity to plants. She joined Institute of Environmental Sciences in September 2017 to pursue her doctoral degree.
Research topic
Her PhD-topic is ‘Environmental fate and effects of nanoparticles in the terrestrial environment’. This research is aimed at investigating the effects of various NP properties on uptake, distribution and translocation mechanism of metal-based nanoparticles in plants following hydroponic exposure. The behavior, fate and toxicity of different kinds of nanoparticles in the terrestrial environment are also investigated.
