Daan Jacobs is a member of our Company Law Department, Institute for Private Law as a lecturer since January 2019. Daan lectures a on wide range of company law topics in both bachelor and master courses.
Daan Jacobs holds master’s degrees in both Dutch law (VU University Amsterdam, 2010, with honour) and Dutch Caribbean law (University of the Netherlands Antilles, 2010, cum laude) and is a corporate and commercial law specialist.
Before his current position at University Leiden, Daan worked as a lawyer at the international law firm of NautaDutilh from 2011 until 2016 and at the Dutch Caribbean law firm of VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne in Curaçao from 2016 until 2018. In that capacity, Daan advised and litigated for both national and international clients and government institutions in a broad range of corporate and commercial cases.
