Hoogleraar Koreastudies Remco Breuker onderzoekt dankzij deze subsidie van de European Research Council hoe beide Korea’s en China strijden om het oude Mantsjoerije. Politicologe Daniela Stockmann bestudeert de rol van sociale media en hoe Chinese autoriteiten daarmee omgaan.

Het Instituut voor Strafrecht & Criminologie houdt zich bezig met onderzoek en onderwijs op respectievelijk het gebied van het straf(proces)recht en de criminologie.

Op donderdag 16 juni wordt een seminar gehouden over 'Public Prosecution Services and the Rule of Law in Europe', met ondertitel 'Conceptions and Misconceptions on the Required Level of Independence in a Transnational Context Conference theme and objective'.

This thesis attempts to interrogate post-1991-2015 political development in Ethiopia, focusing on the political discourses espoused by the government and opposition, using the discourse analysis method and securitization theory.
