Plant architecture has distinct forms in different plant species, but also within a species the finalarchitecture of a plant is determined by its gradual development and changes therein induced by environmental conditions during the plant’s life cycle.

In this thesis an activity-based probe was discovered that could visualize the activity of PLAATs. With an optimized gel-based ABPP assay in hand, screening of a compound library led to the discovery of alpha-ketoamides as a hit for PLAAT3.

In the last decades, activity-based protein profiling (ABPP) has emerged as a powerful chemical tool that may aid the ever-challenging drug discovery process.

MST biedt verschillende voorlichtingsactiviteiten –zowel in Leiden en Delft- om je te helpen bij je studiekeuze.

Wil je zowel een sterke theoretische basis in de scheikunde ontwikkelen als kennis van de technologische toepassingen? Dan is de bachelor MST misschien iets voor jou.

MST’ers kunnen in veel verschillende functies terechtkomen, bijvoorbeeld als productontwikkelaar, proces engineer, research chemicus, veiligheids- en milieuadviseur, hoofd van een laboratorium of docent.

Je volgt een basispakket van exacte vakken in de informatica, biologievakken en speciale integratievakken.

Zoals vermeld, mogen slechts vo-docenten, die bekend zijn met het JSL, er zelf gebruik van maken.

De Faculteit der Wiskunde en Natuurwetenschappen heeft verschillende studieverenigingen, die zowel studiegerelateerde als sociale activiteiten organiseren voor studenten.

Hoe is het om te studeren aan de faculteit Wiskunde en Natuurwetenschappen? Zo'n 425 scholieren kwamen op 29 maart naar het zonnige Leiden om kennis te maken met één van de acht bètabachelors.
