BLASTER - The Best in Liberal Arts and Sciences Teaching Expanded and Reinforced
BLASTER is a collaborative research group of 6 institutions who secured Erasmus+ funding to undertake a major project on Liberal Arts and Science education in Europe. Along with Leiden University College, the partners are University of Warwick (UK), University College Roosevelt (Netherlands), Leuphana University Lüneburg (Germany), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), and ECOLAS. This project aimed to strengthen the quality and the relevance of European undergraduate education as a whole, and LAS in particular, by expanding and reinforcing the nascent LAS tradition.

In the past two years colleagues from six Liberal Arts and Sciences institutions in Europe have worked together in an ERASMUS+ project titled Best Liberal Arts and Sciences Teaching Enhanced and Reinforced (BLASTER). The aim of this project was to further enhance liberal education in Europe by combining the expertise of the six strategic partners on LAS specific Teacher Training, Undergraduate Research and Quality Management.
On October 24th, 2017, the results of this project will be shared with the wider LAS community in the Netherlands at Leiden University College The Hague.
