The Netherlands-Flemish Institute is looking for a Receptionist/Secretary

Introduction

As our receptionist you are the first point of contact for NVIC’s visitors and guests. You make our visitors feel welcome, provide them with information, direct them throughout the institute and assist them wherever possible. In addition, you take care of a wide range of secretarial tasks in order to facilitate the daily operation of the institute.

Your profile:

•    Proactive and flexible
•    Excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking
•    Languages: good command of Arabic and English, some knowledge of Dutch is a plus
•    Affinity with the Netherlands and Flanders, as well as NVIC’s activities
•    Excellent command of MS Office 

About NVIC:

The Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo was established in 1971 and is one of the most vibrant academic institutes in Cairo. On a yearly basis we welcome a significant number of students and researchers from 8 universities in the Netherlands and Flanders, wishing to expand their knowledge in one of our academic research fields: Arabic, Islamic and Middle East Studies, as well as Egyptology, Archaeology and Papyrology.

We offer:

A one year temporary contract, which upon successful completion can be extended to a permanent contract,  for 35 hours a week. This is a local contract under the Egyptian labour law.
