Ben van Rompuy editor new journal on legal aspects of football and sport
The new scholarly journal ‘Voetbal- & Sportjuridische Zaken’, published by Boom Juridische Uitgevers, will focus on current legal aspects related to sport with particular attention for football.
The Dutch-language journal provides legal commentary and opinions on national and international developments in law that are related to sport. It is published three times a year. Besides Ben van Rompuy, Assistant Professor of Competition Law at Leiden Law School, the editorial team includes legal experts who apply their academic and professional knowledge to issues involving football and the sport world in general. The editorial team is well-qualified to consider all relevant legal issues that can arise out on the ‘playing field’. Topics can include breakaway leagues, transfer and employment disputes in football, sports sponsoring, changes to competition rules, as well as human rights violations in Qatar and inappropriate behaviour in the world of gymnastics.
