Eveline Crone in Social Sciences Council

From 1 January 2017, Professor of neurocognitive developmental psychology Eveline Crone has been appointed member of the Social Sciences Council of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences advises the government on a wide variety of subjects. In some cases, it is asked to do so by the authorities or universities; in other cases, it does so on its own initiative.There are four advisory councils that assist the Academy in providing advice in broad disciplinary areas. The Social Sciences Council repares advisory reports for the Academy’s Executive Board and organises plenary conferences. The Council​ works to promote the social sciences and advises on pertinent matters. The members are scientists and scholars representing universities and research institutes.
