Two new English-taught bachelor’s programmes

An English-taught bachelor’s programme is a perfect way to prepare for the international job market! Starting in September 2017, two new English-taught bachelor’s programmes addressing topical issues, each from its own perspective, will be offered by Leiden University’s Faculty of Humanities.

Arts, Media and Society

In this three-year English-taught bachelor’s programme you will learn about contemporary art and (digital) media, and their necessary and relevant contribution to the public debate on issues such as sustainability, technological developments and political questions. Arts, Media and Society is the English-taught specialisation of the Leiden University bachelor’s programme Art History.

Philosophy: Global and Comparative Perspectives

This unique three-year English-taught bachelor’s programme explores philosophical traditions from different periods and continents. You will develop a critical perspective on thought patterns that are usually regarded as self-evident. You will also learn to enrich public debates with new, intercultural perspectives. Philosophy: Global and Comparative Perspectives is the English-taught specialisation of the Leiden University bachelor’s programme Philosophy.
