Prof. Ton Liefaard at launch of Council of Europe’s new children’s rights strategy
On the occasion of the launch of the Council of Europe’s new children’s rights strategy 2016-2021, the Republic of Bulgaria hosted a high-level conference in Sofia on the 5th and 6th of April, 2016.
Prof. Liefaard actively participated in the conference. He provided an intervention on the FRA/CoE Handbook on European law relating to the rights of the child and moderated a parallel session on violence against children, 10 years after the publication of the UN Violence Study. Prof. Liefaard regularly acts as an expert for the Council of Europa on children’s rights issues.
