Message from the student member

The Institutes board and the board of Education of the Institute of Public Administration also include a student member. The student member attends the meetings of the board with and represent the interests of the students. In this message she briefly introduces herself.

My name is Tanja Koeckhoven, I am 22 years old and from September this year I’m the new student-member of the Institute board.

As student-member I’m attending the meetings of the Institute Board and the Programme Board with the main goal to represent the interests of the student. Within the Institute- and Programme Board all kinds of issues are discussed concerning the Public Administration course. It’s about business management, research issues and human resources, but also about the programme committee (OLC), the curriculum of the bachelor and the master and about exams and examination requirements. Especially concerning this last points it’s my main task to defend the student interests in decisions.

To be well informed about what is going on among students, I have close contact to among others the student association B.I.L and I’m trying to attend as much as possible events where students of our Campus are involved. Besides this function, I’m also a student of the Campus. This year I started my master Public Management of Public Administration. Because I’m student by myself at the Institute, I recognize many problems of other students and I can take this to the meetings of boards.
