Patrick Overeem appointed Teaching Fellow

Patrick Overeem lecturer at the Institute of Public Administration has been appointed by the Executive Board of the University as a Teaching Fellow of the Leiden Teachers' Academy.

On the one hand the price is a recognition of his achievements, on the other hand it offers the opportunity for further development in the field of educational innovation. With the five-year Teaching Fellowship, a grant of € 25,000 is rewarded to perform one or more projects to improve and innovate education.

Previous projects have led to an improvement in quality of theses of the Public Administration programs, which has led to nominations for various prizes. The proposed educational project contribute to educational innovation. 
 

The purpose of the Leiden Teachers' Academy is to promote the quality of university education and educational innovation. It also provides a platform for teachers to develop their expertise in the field of education and contributes to multidisciplinary educational collaborations. For the year 2014-2015, ten Teaching Fellows were appointed.
