Faculty Management and Employee Representation

The Faculty is managed by the Faculty Board, which is supervised by the Dean. The members of the Faculty Board each have a separate responsibility for either education, research or operational management, and there is also a student member. Employee representation is in the first instance organised in the Faculty Council. The Programme Directors of the study programmes, the Education Board, the Teaching Committees and Examination Boards each have their own specific role and are together responsible for the quality of the various bachelor’s and master’s programmes that are taught at the Faculty. The Research Board is concerned with the research policy of the Faculty and monitors the quality of the research programmes. The Faculty has five institutes, each managed by an Academic Director. The Faculty Advisory Board, with members from the legal profession, the judiciary and the business sector, meet with the Faculty Board several times a year.

Institutes

To coordinate the activities in the various fields of study and to support the cohesion between education  and research in those academic areas, the faculty has five institutes.

The institutes are split into departments; each institute is managed by the Academic Director.
