Education

The Europa Institute offers a regular European Law LL.M. programme and an Advanced LL.M. programme in European and International Business Law.

European Law (regular LL.M.)

The LL.M. specialisation European Law is designed primarily for foreign and Dutch law students who wish to specialise during the last phase of their studies in the field of European Law.

The programme focuses on various areas of European Law - such as Human Rights, the internal market and the Union’s external relations – both from a substantive and institutional law perspective. Thus the programme aims to equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge for a future career as a European Law expert.|

The courses will be taught in English and students are required to have a good command of English in order to be able to follow the courses. Therefore, all non-native speakers must provide a certificate from an officially recognised language school, such as Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 600 points.

European and International Business Law (Advanced LL.M.)

In the Advanced European and International Business Law programme, you will examine the interactions between international, European and national business law in multi-level jurisdictions. The European Union is one of the most influential international organisations in the world. But how does it impact on governance, enterprise and innovation within a global economy, in the area of business law? And how does EU law interact with that of other international organisations?
