Course description

The Russian Conversation A2 course is designed for participants who have completed the Russian 6 course or have a similar level (A2). From the beginning, lessons are conducted in Russian.
Conversation and speaking skills are mainly practised. This may include the following topics: biography, family, travel, living, education, work, transport, health, talking about your day and about the future.
We also repeat the necessary grammar. Furthermore, attention is paid to the cultural context of the countries in which the language is spoken.

After attending this course, one is able to understand the main points from clear standard texts on familiar matters that occur regularly at work, during studies and in leisure time. One can get by in most situations that may arise while travelling in areas where the language is spoken. One can produce simple running text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. One can describe experiences and events, expectations and ambitions and can briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

The course uses the digital learning environment BrightSpace. Within this learning environment you will find homework and additional learning materials. Course participants are expected to prepare the lessons at home (approximately two hours per lesson).

At the end of the course, there will be a test. Students who have attended 80% of the lessons and successfully completed the final test will receive a certificate.
