Honours Community

Students who follow Honours education are automatically members of a network of students and teaching staff. Both current students and alumni are therefore able to continuously utilize the knowledge and inspiration of students and teaching staff of the Honours Academy.

The Honours community is for all students: from Pre-University to Leiden Leadership Programme. The community is a network of inspiring teaching staff and like-minded students, from which alumni can continue to derive lifelong enjoyment. Students can join the PREunion or Leiden Honours Community (LHC) as a (board) member, or participate in the activities organised for them by the Honours Academy.

Activities

Throughout the year, the Honours Academy organises a wide range of activities for students, teaching staff and others. In recent years, for instance, the activities have included the Honours Concert, a 'Design Thinking' workshop for students and teaching staff, and the celebratory opening of the Honours year.

In addition to participating in our own activities, we encourage students to also take part in activities organised by others. For example, last year students attended a mediation competition in Paris, the G200 Youth Forum and the Netherlands-Asia Summer School.

Leiden Honours Community

The Leiden Honours Community (LHC) is a network of and for Honours students at Leiden University. Members of the LHC can take part in activities, such as workshops, social events and the annual study trip.

Honours students can also play an active role in the committees of the LHC, which allows them to gain experience with organising activities and working in co-operation with other highly motivated students. More information about the Leiden Honours Community can be found on their website.

PREunion study association

PREunion is the study association of the Pre-University College. A group of enthusiastic PRE students regularly organise activities for both current and former PRE students. The activities include a monthly get-together for drinks, excursions, lectures and parties.

More information about the study association can be found on the PREunion website or their Facebook page.
