Centre for Professional Learning

The Centre for Professional Learning (CPL) programmes are specifically meant for professionals with an academic background, who aim to deepen their knowledge and skills and broaden their perspective and networks. Based in the centre of The Hague, CPL offers knowlegde and insight on an academic level on the themes that are distinctive for the city and that will be closely linked to your professional practice.

Dual PhD Centre

Combining a job with a PhD? The Dual PhD Centre focuses on external PhD candidates who devote part of their working time to scientific research on a theme from their professional practice. The Centre helps these dual PhD candidates develop a research plan, provides training and ensures that their research fits within a scientific discipline and graduate school, and that it ties in with the research of a potential supervisor. 

Masters

  • MSc Cyber Security (executive)

Would you like to broaden and deepen your knowledge of cyber security improving your ability to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow? Het MSc Cyber Secuirty (executive) will teach you to make connections between technical, legal and social scientific aspects of cyber security, so you can come to effective and sustainable solutions for cyber risks and threats. 

This programme is designed for highly educated professionals (computer scientists, lawyers, policy makers) with several years of professional experience in and/or affinity with issues in the field of cyber security.

We offer three options to follow this Executive master programme:

1. Follow the full Cyber Security programme
2. Follow introductory courses as a contract student
3. Follow introductory courses as a non-examination student

  • Management van de Publieke Sector (Dutch)

The Dutcht master's programme Public Sector Management (MPS) Bestuur en Advisering,  can be attended by people with a day-time job because the classes take place in the late afternoon and evening. It is a one year programme and provides insight into the complex problems public organisations are facing today and ways in which these problems could be tackled.
