ELS lab meeting - Journal Club: Survey of EU Member States by Eva Grosfeld

Date
Friday 4 March 2022
Time
Location
Online

Journal Clubs are sessions in which we discuss empirical legal articles, focusing on the methodology used in the paper and the lessons that can be learned.

In this Journal Club, we will discuss Eva Grosfeld’s recently published paper, on value alignment and public perceived legitimacy of the European Union and the Court of Justice. In this striking paper, with a survey that was conducted in six EU member states, Eva examined how people’s personal values and their perception of the values of the EU are related to the perceived legitimacy of the CJEU and the EU more broadly. We will discuss this paper’s method, as well as Eva’s ideas for the follow-up study on this topic.

We will discuss the following paper:

Grosfeld E., Scheepers D.T. & Cuyvers A. (2022), Value alignment and public perceived legitimacy of the European Union and the Court of Justice, Frontiers in Psychology 12: 785892.
