On Saturday 19 March 2022, Peel Slowly and See hosts the twelfth edition of the adventurous Festival of Discoveries in the ‘culture quarter’ of Leiden.
ACPA PhD's Marie Guilleray and Siamak Anvari will also perform on this festivial. Their music combines voice and electronics with a tincture of Persian music. In their electroacoustic compositions, the focus slowly shifts from the interplay between voice and electronics towards spatial polyphony. By utilizing a multichannel sound system and various loudspeaker configurations in the space, the listener can experience the closeness and intimacy of the voice while being immersed in the sound space. This performance will be a journey which progresses slowly, peeling the layers of the sonic texture from inside to outside.
