For the 2nd Open Minded session of this academic year, Lexo Zardiashvili, a researcher, teacher and PhD candidate at eLaw at Leiden Law School, will present his research.

At the time of the global power race for AI, the EU is asserting itself as a regulatory superpower. Human Dignity is a foundational value of the EU that (sometimes implicitly) underpins the human-centric approach on AI that regulator intends to establish. This talk intends to look at AI as a power discussion, shed some light on the centrality of data in this context, describe human Dignity as a legal concept, and analyze the AI regulation with this lens in mind.

Open Minded is a lecture series organized by eLaw (Center for Law and Digital Technologies), wherein professionals working in the domain of law and digital technologies are invited to present their research, perspectives, or ongoing work.

All are welcome to attend. Please email n.d.vosters@law.leidenuniv.nl if you plan to attend online or in person so that we can ensure that we have sufficient space and make accommodations if necessary.
