Welcome on the campus!
After not having seen each other for more than a year, this year we can go to campus more often: welcome (back)! To welcome everyone in this new year, there will be various food stands with small bites around the Humanities buildings on Wednesday 8 September in Leiden and Thursday 9 September at Schouwburgstraat in The Hague.
Speech of Dean Mark Rutgers
On Wednesday 8 September, the Opening of the Faculty Year will take place for the Faculty of Humanities. Soon you can watch the speech of Dean Mark Rutgers on this page!
Faculty Teaching Prize
Every year, an outstanding lecturer receives the Faculty Teaching Prize. Lecturers are nominated by students and a jury awards the prize. The prize will be awarded during the Opening of the Faculty Year. The nominees of 2021 are Dories Nielen (Russian Studies), Kirsty Rolfe (English language and culture), Noa Schonmann (Middle Eastern Studies), and Anna Tummers (Art History). Read the interview with the nominees about their teaching methods.
