- Online, the link will be distributed to registered participants on the morning of the meeting
Part 1: Research Vision
What do we, early career scholars, want our university to look like in the future?
In this mini-series of two online interfaculty lunch meetings, the Young Academy Leiden invites early career scholars at Leiden University to develop ideas on the future of the university.
Dr. ir. Karin Horsman, Director of Strategy and Academic Affairs, will introduce this series by highlighting some of the current projects and discussions at the university policy level on the future-proof university. Her introduction will be followed by a breakout session and a plenary wrap-up. A summary of the output will be shared with the university administrators at the Department of Strategy and Academic Affairs.
In this first meeting, we will take a long-term perspective on the future of doing research: What do we think doing research will look like in thirty years from now? How should university structures and research priorities adjust to realize these ideals and live up to these expectations?
Please register here for attending this meeting.
Stay tuned and save the date for the second meeting in the 'Future-Proof University' series: June 7, 12:00-13:00. We will discuss university life post-corona. Do you want to stay updated about YAL activities? Sign up for our Early Career Bulletin here!
