Roundtable: On the Use of Categories in Diversity Research and Policies
- Date

- Time
- Location

Hosted by the Diversity Research Cluster of the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology
This roundtable presents a conversation on categorization of human difference, such as gender, race, ethnicity, class, ability, etc. in diversity research and policies. How do we deal with the categories of difference that scholars, policy-makers and citizens use in a search for more equality? Can we combat discrimination without using categories or do we actually need them? We invite you to join our four Leiden University colleagues in a discussion on the barriers and opportunities of the use of categories in ‘diversity and inclusion’.
