- Friday 27 November 2020
- Time
- Location
- Online MS TEAMS

The second Open Minded session of this academic year will take place on Friday, November 27 from 15:00 – 16:00. During this session – which will take place via MS Teams – Michael Klos, researcher and lecturer at Leiden University, will present his research: COVID-19: Disinformation and the Dutch Judiciary.
In September and October, the Dutch courts was requested—in preliminary relief proceedings against YouTube and Facebook—to reinstate content that was removed as disinformation. May (or should) social media companies remove disinformation? Alternatively, could the removal of disinformation constitute an infringement of the right to freedom of expression?
Open Minded is a lecture series organized by eLaw (Center for Law and Digital Technologies), wherein professionals working in the domain of law and digital technologies are invited to present their research, perspectives, or ongoing work.
All are welcome to attend. Please send an email to a.m.sears@law.leidenuniv.nl to register.
