The era of precision Cosmology and its Surprises
The era of precision Cosmology is here! But is it also the era of accurate Cosmology? Recent, highly precise measurements of the Hubble parameter, have certainly taken us by surprise. In this talk I will review the status of modern cosmology and the challenges that lie in front of us. I will provide an overview of the exciting observational prospects, including those related to the direct detection of gravitational waves. I will focus in particular on the quest of testing gravity on cosmological scales as well as recent work we have done in relation to the Hubble parameter.
The pre-act will be given by Kaveh Lahabi, titled “Printing Quantum Devices in a Microscope”.
