On September 1st, Ingrid van Engelshoven, Minister of Education, Culture and Science, will present the National Action Plan Diversity and Inclusion in Education and Research. The presentation will be held at Leiden University, Campus The Hague.
The action plan's aim is to contribute to an inclusive, safe, and diverse study and work environment, which provides everyone with the opportunity to develop their talents. The action plan contributes to equal opportunities for students and researchers and the quality of education and research. Attention will also be given to the diversity of research subjects.
The action plan was formulated following the European Gender Summit that was held in October last year. It was written in close collaboration with the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), the Royal Netherlands Academy for Arts and Sciences (KNAW), the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU), the Dutch Network of Women Professors (LNVH), ECHO - Expertise Centre Diversity Policy, and LanDo (the National Network of Diversity Officers).
Due to the restrictions put in place because of the Corona virus, only a very limited number of guests will be able to attend the event. Those interested are cordially invited to join the proceedings via live stream. Those who have registered will receive a link that will enable them to participate a few days prior to the event.
