Submit the title of your talk
Tha call for proposals is closed.
Papers and research reports on all aspects of African languages and linguistics are welcome. We shall allow 30 minutes for the presentation of each paper, including (10 minutes) discussion. If you want to give a presentation, please send in the title of your talk before 15 June 2020 by the following form. If the form doesn’t work, you can send us an email with all the information needed: call@hum.leidenuniv.nl. Please make sure that you send us 1) your name, 2) affiliation 3) title of the paper (in French or English) and 4) your e-mail address. We do not need an abstract of the paper.
In the online CALL there is less time for presentations. We will have no parallel sessions and a total of only 6 sessions of 3 or 4 papers. Therefore we are probably forced to select and we will aim at coherent sessions. You are encouraged to suggest a session together with fellow CALL attendees.
Even if you have already registered for this year’s CALL before, we kindly ask you to register again for the virtual version.
Virtual colloquium information
All presentations will be pre-recorded and then played live during the colloquium, with time for questions and answers. After the colloquium, recordings will be archived together online. We will try to recreate some of the social aspects of an in-person colloquium by providing presenters and other participants with opportunities to engage each other in discussion, reconnect with old colleagues, and meet new faces.
Registration
Registration for presenting and participating in the colloquium is free. In case you need an official letter of acceptance of your participation, please let us know.
If you would like to contact the local organizers, please send an e-mail to: call@hum.leidenuniv.nl.
