Colloquium on African Languages and Linguistics 2020

We are pleased to invite you to the 50th Colloquium on African Languages and Linguistics
(CALL 2020), to be held in Leiden from Monday 31 August up to and including 2 September 2020.
As a special feature of 50th CALL 2020 there will be a workshop on Hausa and Chadic linguistics organised by Roxana Ma Newman and Graham Furniss honoring Phillip Jaggar. Also, on Thursday 3 September there will be a symposium on Multilingualism in Education - Africa and the Netherlands as an activity of the Leiden ASA 'Africa 2020' event series.
Submit the title of your talk
Papers and research reports on all aspects of African languages and linguistics are welcome. We
shall allow 30 minutes for the presentation of each paper, including (10 minutes) discussion. If
you want to give a presentation, please send in the title of your talk before 1 June 2020 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please make sure that you send us 1) your name, 2) affiliation 3) title of the paper (in French or English) 4) your e-mail address. We do not need an abstract of the paper.
The registration fee will be 20 euro (10 euro for (PhD-)students), to be paid on the first day of the colloquium. On Monday evening a dinner will be organised (extra costs 25 euro). If you would like to attend the dinner, please let us know well ahead.
In case you need an official letter of acceptance of your participation, please let us know. If you need a visa to enter the Netherlands, make sure to start procedures well ahead of time. Unfortunately it is not possible to provide financial assistance.
