Summer Programme

Organised by Leiden Law School and Duke Law School, The Duke-Leiden Institute in Global and Transnational Law is a one-month programme providing a strong foundation for those interested in international and comparative law as well as for those planning to study law in the United States.

Courses are taught by lecturers from both faculties. The topics for 2020 are: 
1. Authority and Legitimacy in International Adjudication
2. Realizing Rights: Strategic Human Rights Litigation and Advocacy
3. Challenges in Multilateral and Regional Trade Governance
4. Comparative Perspectives on Criminal Justice: Central Issues and Contextual Implementtion
5. Introdution to American Law
6. Taxation of Cross-Border Transactions
