On the 16th of March, the department of German Language and Culture of Leiden University and the Cultuur & Kommunikation foundation will be hosting a reading by author Nora Gomringer.
Wherever Nora Gomringer performs, she comes with an underestimated superpower: poetry. For more than 20 years she has been singing, reciting and translating and bringing poetry to the people. And she succeeds where schools often fail: in triggering amazement. She shows her sources of inspiration, talks about cherished colleagues and unveils the world of relations between topics and media. The poetess is serious about language that you can have such fun with. But too many words in this text! The poet is here, with her mouth, voice and hands. Let’s listen to her together.
