Abstract
In this talk, I will give an outline of the phonology of Gebe. After giving an introduction into the Gebe culture and sociolinguistic situation, I will introduce the phonemes for you. We will proceed by devoting attention to the analysis of syllable structures and the wide range of onset clusters, of subsequently stems and derived words. Following this, I will describe some of the most salient phonetic and morphophonological processes, among which the rules for /a/-insertion between stems and suffixes or clitics. Lastly, we will dive into the rules for stress assignment to content words.
