Chat Evening on Global Health Issues
Stichting Unity in Diversity will organise an Integration Chatroom at Leiden University on Monday, 29 April. This edition is called 'The Changing Dynamics of global health issues: Encouraging or discouraging?". It is open to all and everyone is encouraged to take part in the discussion.
Sharing is Caring
Share your experiences with global health issues and preventive/curative developments. Are problems such obesity, substance abuse and mental health being tackled by modern health care systems? How do people relate to these topics? Do people who migrate to new countries abandon or change healthy habits? The discussion will focus on global trends with a personal touch, with participants sharing their individual experiences. The focus of the Integration Chatroom project is to connect people of different backgrounds together, to share their socio-cultural experiences in the Netherlands.
Why this Project?
It is important to take time to reflect about what health is for us and what can be done to improve our current situation. Perhaps together we can generate a discussion to spread awareness and suggest possible solutions. Come and join the conversation, share, listen and enjoy a spread of multicultural food prepared especially for you.
The chat evening will take place from 17.15 to 19.30 hrs. on Monday, 29 April at Leiden University (Turfmarkt 99, Room 3.16) in The Hague.
The event is free of charge but please register via www.uidnl.org/uidevents.
