We are very excited to have managed to divert David Vocadlo on his way from Switzerland to Canada to give a Chemical Biology seminar here in Leiden. It is difficult to over-sell the contribution of Prof. Vocadlo to the chemical biology field, especially in the area of carbohydrates and their processing enzymes. He has made pivotal contributions in areas ranging from the role of O-GlcNAcylation in amyloid diseases to the development of new probes for carbohydrate processing enzymes. These discoveries are all characterised by a strong molecular understanding combined with excellent biological intuition and as such offer some of the better work that chemical biology has to offer.

If you would like to speak with Prof. Vocadlo, please do not hesitate to contact Sander van Kasteren or Prof. Overkleeft.
