In experimental Psychology, a "Crisis" has emerged in the past decade. As response and to overcome this crisis, a number of tools and strategies have been proposed and implemented. Experimental Psychology is rapidly changing in norms and expectations about what is proper scientific conduct as consequence.
But is this crisis also relevant for Linguistics? To examine this question, I will first discuss what led to the crisis and compare (possible) causes of it across fields. Are the proposed solutions then also relevant for linguistic research? I will argue that increasing transparency where possible is in some aspects of our research already common practice and can be very beneficial in others. Where improvements can be made, I will make concrete recommendations how to increase transparency.

To prepare the presentation, it would be great if attendees could fill out a short survey.
