A Christmas Carol Concert

A festive start to Christmas in the Great Auditorium at Leiden University. Specially for the University community, the THINC choir will sing traditional Christmas carols, both centuries old and contemporary, interspersed with atmospheric organ music. There will be the chance to sing along with three carols, and after the concert the audience is invited to enjoy a glass of mulled wine. Come along on 20 December and join in the Christmas spirit! Entrance is free! 

More about the choir

Stef Collignon studied English Language and Literature at Leiden University. He is the conductor of the THIINC choir and the Wageningen Symphony Orchestra.

Casper de Jonge is Assistant Professor in Greek at Leiden University. He is the organist at the Waalse Kerk in The Hague and the Lokhorstkerk in Leiden. He is also accompanist for the THINC choir and is one of the Leiden University organists.

Jan Verschuren is university organist for Leiden University and for TU Eindhoven, and is  titular organist for the Hartebrugkerk.

THINC is a project choir that performs on special occasions. The choir also gives regular concerts, including the highly successful annual Christmas Carol services.  The choir comprises 40 experienced singers, some of whom are Leiden alumni.
