- Welcome by Professor Carel Stolker, Rector Magnificus and President of the Executive Board.
- Opening by Professor Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, professor of International Relations and Practice of Diplomacy at Leiden University, former NATO Secretary General and former Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Dutch Cabinet, and Imane Maghrani, MSc, Education Executive at the Prince’s Trust in London and Leiden University alumna of World Politics and Global Justice.
- Musical interlude by the madrigal choir of Student Music Orchestra Sempre Crescendo.
- Challenges in Education, by Professor Hester Bijl, Vice-Rector Magnificus.
- Presentation of the 2018 Leiden Teaching Prize by Ms. Ghislaine Voogd, Chair of the Leiden University Student Platform.
- Conferral of the 2018 Mr. K.J. Cath Award by Professor Carel Stolker.
- Speech and closing remarks by Professor Carel Stolker.
After the ceremony, at around 17.00 hrs., there will be a reception in the Pieterskerk, to which you are cordially invited.
